This year the Irish Universities Information Services Colloquium (IUISC) is being jointly organised by UCD and DCU. The purpose of the annual IUISC conference is to foster co-operation and collaboration between libraries, computing services audiovisual centres and teaching developement units, in the third level sector, at both an institutional level and throughout the whole island of Ireland. It is anticipated that ideas generated at this conference would be adopted and carried forward by joint committees from the participating institutions.
Focus Groups
There will be room in the conference programme for delegates to get together to discuss topics/issues of common concern. These sessions are normally referred to as ' bird of a feather' discussions or focus groups. Delegates are invited to organise, participate in, or moderate focus groups. Some focus groups have already been organised (see list). These groups can include informal presentations or just be round table discussions. Suggestions for groups should be e-mailed to the IUISC–L mailing list.
